Exhibit : Too Close for Comfort?

May 24, 2006

With a wall of hungry paparazzi and a halo of bodyguards, getting up and close and personal to the glitterati is no easy endeavor. Not so however, for the photographer Martin Schoeller, whose book Close up goes face-to-face with the likes of Angelina Jolie, Jack NIcholson, Brad Pitt, and Bill Clinton - pores and all. Almost a year after the book's original publication, New York's Hasted Hunt Gallery celebrates Schoeller's portraits in a new exhibition, opening May 24, accompanied by a new edition of the book, linen-slip bound, and including a signed print. Until August 30.
