If you’re in New York, tonight, at 6 P.M., Hasted Hunt Kraeutler photography gallery is showing the film “Manufactured Landscapes,” by Jennifer Baichwal, a documentary about the work of Edward Burtynsky, from 2006. It’s well worth it. Burtynsky’s large-format photographs of industrial landscapes—oil fields, quarries, shipyards, factories—give a stunning perspective on the piles and pits that humankind has left on the face of the earth.
