For the first time is devoted to an extensive survey exhibition the equally complex and fascinating phenomenon of realism. Some 200 works from the fields of painting, sculpture, photography and video art show how and in what width succeeds artists to transform the diversity of the modern world in pictures. The spectrum ranges from the realism of the 19th century over the New Objectivity and the photo-realism of the 1960s to contemporary art.
