Nathan Harger Solo Exhibition
Young photographer Nathan Harger represents big cities through images of factories, freeways, cranes, and buildings in an artistic way through bold contrast of black and white. This is his first solo exhibition in Korea. He graduated from Parsons in New York City, and has been featured in a number of renown art magazines as an artist to watch. Harger is considered to be alongside contemporary photographers such as Irving Penn and Walker Evans. Previous artists have criticized the industrialization of the city, but Nathan Harger takes a morphological approach to depicting the city’s systems. His unique artistic perspective captures the energy of oriental painting’s brush strokes.
His work is on display at Gallery K.O.N.G., from September 11th until October 10th.
